My project is about discovering the ‘hiding’. It starts with how we deal with living and how to keep going on it. I chose to focus on one of the coping mechanisms, which I think is one of the gentlest ways, to be emotionless and detached.

I read a lot about why people turned themselves down and how they end up in such situation ---‘emotionless’, I also searched for the causations behind it. However, I’m not really interested in how to get rid of such ‘problems’ cause I don’t think it is a bad or good thing. That’s why I stopped judging it as right or wrong, as I know days can be long and suffocated. As a result, isn’t it okay for us to develop some strategies to help cope? But I know it does arouse attention as people start to write it out and post, even asking, ‘is it okay to be emotionless?’ What I want to do is never to question the system or correct this, I just want people to see their reflection and think themselves. This is from my learning in these few years, we can never save someone who drowning in their own problems, however, when you are courageous enough to face it, or at least be aware of it, it is the first step.
